The Bay Area is filled with enthusiasm and love for records. But what compels people to start collecting them? In an age of digital convenience, why do they pour so much time, energy and money into records. Artist Raphael Villet spent the last 3 months finding and talking with a diverse cross section of Bay Area residents about this topic. He interviewed small and big time record collectors, dj's, record store owners and bands and made audio recordings of their stories, thoughts and reflections about records. These conversations took places in homes, record stores, flea markets, radio stations, and many other places that records are found and were compiled into a 57 minute audio documentary. Accompanying the audio are 35 photographs taken by the artist of the people featured in this project.
